- Dear {Contact->Dear}
-
- I want to tell you about this incredible new product called JORF.
- The name JORF stands for Josephine's Recipe Filer, and as the name
- implies it is an irreverent attempt to create an easy OOP language
- for Microsoft Windows programming.
-
- The attempt succeeds. This letter is created by a contact manager
- that takes less than 800 lines of source code. Compare this to
- most programs which take thousands of lines to support things
- like a full word processor with search and block capabilities,
- filters, laser labels, and reports. This data base uses a standard
- CUA interface so Windows operators will feel right at home.
-
-
- Since I have the source code to this data base, I have complete
- freedom to add my own fields, change the screens, and create new
- reports and letters like this one. This is a lot easier than
- OOP Pascal and Visual BASIC, and even runs the same source code
- in standard DOS as well as Microsoft Windows. What more could
- I want?
-
- Sincerely
- Wayland Bruns
